Sporthalle Charlottenburg and Kinder garden Loschmidtstraße
on May, 12th, 8:30 am (sic)
Because the number of participants is restricted, we kindly as for an immediate response.
meeting point is the south entry/exit of S- and U-Bahnhof Jungfernheide (Ring and U7, regional trains, buses M21, M27, X9 and 109).
It’s a Deutsche Bahn station as well, so check you might get there in 2-3 minutes from Südkreuz, Hauptbahnhof, Potsdamer Platz, Gesundbrunnen etc. From there it's a 10 minutes walk to the gymnasium in Sömmeringstraße. After that, around half past two we walk another 10 minutes to the former kinder garden.
After these visits there is the chance to see for example a great example of Prussian historicism, the townhall of Charlottenburg, or the Ernst-Reuter-Platz including the buildings of Hans Scharoun and Bernhard Hermkes.
The tour could end in the architect’s cafeteria of the UdK, which was made by Leo and students, and is another 10 minutes walk full with architecture, that is worth seeing on a special tour. From the university of arts it's just a short woalk to see the other famous Leo building, the so called Umströmtank of the TU, the technical university.
