Ruta Fridlendere speaks about the shoa that she witnessed being a Jewish child in Ventspils (Western Latvia, Kurzeme region), which she survived together with her mother hiding for four years in a secret bunker room under a hen house, and her experience today with antisemitism in Kuldiga.

Her memories got published after the symposium in
a book by Jens Hoffmann.
She was a survivour of the shoa, she lived in Kuldiga, but unfortunately died in 2010.
