First we'll visit the area with the former Iraqi embassy at Tschaikowskistraße, than we'll go into the former Australian embassy, and will see the "village" of the heads of the state with the guest house of GDR.
We'll have a ten minutes walk north to several of the diplomatic types and will see some from inside.

The tour will end in a place with drinks and food and discussions nearby.

We'll walk around the Majakowskiring, which was the gated community of the head of GDR including artists like Johannes R. Becher and Hans Fallada. Next to it the guest houses of the government and the castle Schöhausen.

We'll also see several of the types "Pankow II" (Egypt) and "Pankow III" (Cuba) the types "Magdeburg" (Nigeria) and "Gera" from the inside with different kinds of alteration and renovation.

On Tuesday, the 27th of March, a tour to the first embassy buildings around Stavangerstraße and to a GDR kindergarden nearby.

Next week we'll have the chance to see a different type of GDR kindergarden, this time in a surprisingly well done renovation. Soon more information about that.

One tour more in Pankow will happen on Saturday 14th of April, the very interesting urban areal around Arnold-Zweig-Straße and we'll see Weimar housing like Erwin Gutkind's "Am Eschengraben".
