feierabend excursion to standardized buildings of GDR - Pankow 3: Kindergarden

The feierabend tour costs 9 euros, reduced 5 euros and lasts around an hour and a half.

time: middle of April 2012
meeting point: Gleimstraße corner to Sonnenburger Straße
It's a 5 minutes walk away from the S- and Ubahnstation Schönhauser Allee (Tram M1, U2 and S-Ring)
and will see the "village" of the heads of the state.
We'll have the chance to see the renovated Kindergarden at Gleimstraße.
We'll have a look on early GDR standardized housing, the expressionist transformator of H. H. Müller and the cinema Colosseum

The kindergarden type

On Tuesday, the 27th of March, a tour to the first embassy buildings around Stavangerstraße and to a GDR kindergarden nearby.

On Thursday, the 29th of March, a tour to the later embassy buildings around Schloß Schönhausen including the houses of the leaders of GDR and to further GDR embassy types.

One tour more in Pankow will happen on Saturday, April 14 to the very interesting urban areal around Arnold-Zwieg-Straße and we'll see some Weimar era housing like Erwin Gutkind's "Am Eschengraben".
